    Teradaya is a boathouse in Fushimi.
    On April 23, 1862 (Bunkyu 2), 35 radical members of the Satsuma domain, including Arima Shinshichi, gathered together to plan the assassination of the regent Kujo Naotada and the Kyoto shoshidai.
    The Satsuma clan sent their retainers to suppress the rebellion, but a brawl broke out between the two sides, resulting in the deaths of Arima and nine other retainers.(Teradaya Incident)
